This chapter may be cited as the "Garbage Burning Local Law
of Town of Collins."
As used in this chapter, unless the context or subject matter
otherwise requires, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
GARBAGE
The animal and vegetable waste resulting from the handling,
preparation and cooking and serving of food.
Causing, suffering, allowing open burning of garbage, plastics,
tires, chemicals and oil-based products in the Town of Collins, outside
the Village of Gowanda, is prohibited.
Each violation of §
137-3 shall constitute a violation pursuant to the Penal Law. The fine for a first violation under this chapter shall be $75, the fine for a second violation $150, and a fine of $300 for subsequent violation.

A Code Enforcement Officer, constable, police officer or any
other peace office may enforce this chapter by issuance of appearance
ticket.
This chapter shall become effective on May 1, 1998, and shall
be filed with the Secretary of State.
