Borough Council has established the following real estate tax
payment schedule beginning for the tax year 2010:
A.
Real estate tax bills shall be mailed in March to be paid at discount
on or before May 31.
B.
Real not paid on or before May 31 shall be paid at the face amount
of the taxes on or before July 31.
C.
Real estate taxes paid after July 31 shall be assessed a penalty
of 10% of the face amount of the tax and shall be paid on or before
December 31. In the event that taxes remain unpaid after December
31, said tax bill shall be turned over to the Borough's delinquent
Tax Collector for collection.
The Borough has established a period from March 1 to May 31
as a real estate tax discount period and all taxpayers paying their
real property tax bills before May 31 shall receive a discount of
2% of the face amount of the tax.
The Borough has established a penalty of 10% of the face amount
of the real property tax for all real property taxes paid after July
31 of each year.
