A. 
If any article, section, subsection, provision, regulation, limitation, restriction, sentence, clause, phrase, or word in this chapter is declared for any reason to be illegal, unconstitutional, or invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect or impair the validity of this chapter as a whole, or any other article, section, subsection, provision, regulation, limitation, restriction, sentence, clause, phrase, word, or remaining portion of this chapter.
B. 
The Board of Supervisors hereby declares that it would have adopted this chapter and each article, section, subsection, provision, regulation, limitation, restriction, sentence, clause, phrase, and word thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more of the articles, sections, subsections, provisions, regulations, limitations, restrictions, sentences, clauses, phrases, or words may be declared illegal, unconstitutional or invalid.
A. 
Except as otherwise required by law, this chapter is intended as a continuation of, and not a repeal of, existing regulations governing the subject matter. To the extent that this chapter restates regulations contained in ordinances previously enacted by the East Lampeter Township Board of Supervisors, this chapter shall be considered a restatement and not a repeal of such regulations.
B. 
The East Lampeter Zoning Ordinance adopted on May 16, 2016, via Ordinance No. 323 is hereby amended in its entirety and shall be replaced with this chapter, as amended on June 3, 2019, via Ordinance No. 344.
C. 
It is the specific intent of the Board of Supervisors that all provisions of this chapter shall be considered in full force and effect as of the date such regulations were initially enacted. All zoning ordinances or parts of zoning ordinances inconsistent with the provisions of this chapter are hereby repealed.
D. 
It is expressly provided that the provisions of this chapter shall not affect any act done, contract executed, or liability incurred prior to its effective date, or affect any suit or prosecution pending or to be instituted to enforce any rights, rule, regulation or ordinance, or part thereof, or to punish any violation which occurred under any prior zoning regulation or ordinance.
E. 
In the event any violation has occurred under any prior zoning regulation or ordinance of East Lampeter Township, prosecution may be initiated against the alleged offender pursuant to the provisions of said prior zoning regulation or ordinance, and the provisions and penalties provided in said prior zoning regulation or ordinance shall remain effective as to said violation.
The East Lampeter Township Board of Supervisors has enacted the East Lampeter Township Zoning Ordinance of 2016, on June 3, 2019, as part of East Lampeter Township Ordinance Number 344. The East Lampeter Township Zoning Ordinance of 2016, as amended, shall become effective five days after the adoption date by the East Lampeter Township Board of Supervisors.
The East Lampeter Township Zoning Ordinance of 2016 has been hereby comprehensively amended in order to implement the Comprehensive Plan. The East Lampeter Township Zoning Ordinance of 2016, as amended, is hereby enacted by the East Lampeter Township Board of Supervisors, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, on September 21, 2020.
