The purpose of this chapter shall be to establish departments; allocate the Township's functions, powers and duties among and within the departments; establish official relationships; and prescribe standards and procedures for the conduct of the public business, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:69A-1 et seq.
The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this chapter, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:
ADMINISTRATOR
The Business Administrator appointed pursuant to the Charter and this Code, or any Acting Administrator serving in place of the Business Administrator pursuant to the Charter or ordinance.
CHARTER
The Mayor-Council Plan E of Chapter 210 of New Jersey Laws of 1950, N.J.S.A. 40:69A-1 et seq., as amended and supplemented, and any and all statutory provisions of the state applicable to the municipality.
DIRECTOR
The administrative head of a department.
MUNICIPALITY
The Township.
