A. 
No person on park property shall:
(1) 
Build or attempt to build a fire except in the fireplaces at picnic areas or at such other locations as may be specifically permitted by the Park and Recreation Board.
(2) 
Leave a picnic area before any fire lighted by him is completely extinguished.
(3) 
Drop, throw or otherwise scatter matches, burning cigarettes or cigars, or any other burning material within a park.
B. 
Any person violating any of the provisions of this section shall be fined in accordance with § 1-2 of this Code.
A. 
No person on park property shall:
(1) 
Leave any trash or refuse that may originate from picnicking or other activities except in proper receptacles provided for the purpose; where receptacles are not provided, all such refuse or trash shall be carried away from the park by the person responsible for its presence and properly disposed of elsewhere.
(2) 
Discard or cast any litter, refuse, paper, can or other trash in or upon a public bathing area, except in containers designated for that purpose by the Park and Recreation Board.
(3) 
Dump or deposit bottles, broken glass, ashes, paper boxes, cans, dirt, rubbish, waste, garbage, refuse or other trash in the park.
(4) 
Throw, discharge or otherwise place or cause to be placed in any streams, springs, ponds or public pools any substance, matter or thing, liquid or solid, which will or may result in the pollution of the waters.
B. 
Any person violating any of the provisions of this section shall be fined in accordance with § 1-2 of this Code.
A. 
No person on park property shall:
(1) 
Willfully mark, deface, disfigure, injure, tamper with, or displace or move any buildings, tables, benches, fireplaces, railings or other public utilities, signs, notices or placards, whether temporary or permanent, monuments, stakes, posts, boundary markers, fences or other structures or equipment, facilities or park property;
(2) 
Dig or remove any sand, soil, rock, stones, trees, shrubs or plants, downed timber, or other wood or materials, or make any excavation by tool, equipment or other means;
(3) 
Damage, cut, carve, transplant, or remove any tree or plant, or injure the bark, or pick the flowers or seeds of any tree or plant; and
(4) 
Dig in or otherwise injure or impair the natural beauty or usefulness of any area.
B. 
Any person violating any of the provisions of this section shall be fined in accordance with § 1-2 of this Code.

A. 
No person owning or keeping a horse, dog or other domesticated animal shall allow such horse, dog or other domesticated animal to be upon any land owned or operated by the Town of Southington unless such horse, dog or other domesticated animal is attached to a secured leash or bridle held continuously in the hand of a responsible person capable of controlling it.
B. 
This section shall not apply to any horse, dog or other domesticated animal while performing or being exhibited in a show or other exhibition.
C. 
Any violation of this section shall be punishable by a fine for each occurrence. Fines are listed in the Fine Schedule, § 37-2 of this Code, and posted on the Town of Southington website.
D. 
For the purposes of enforcing the provisions of this section, tickets may be issued by any persons authorized to issue tickets for parking violations pursuant to this Code.

A. 
It shall be unlawful for any person owning, keeping, walking or in control of the horse, dog or other domesticated animal to allow or permit such animal to defecate upon any land owned or operated by the Town of Southington unless such person removes all feces so deposited by such animal before leaving the immediate premises.
B. 
The provisions of this section shall not apply to any blind person walking or in control of a guide dog or any person who is physically unable to remove said feces.
C. 
Any violation of this section shall be punishable by a fine for each occurrence. Fines are listed in the Fine Schedule, § 37-2 of this Code, and posted on the Town of Southington website.
D. 
For the purposes of enforcing the provisions of this section, tickets may be issued by any persons authorized to issue tickets for parking violations pursuant to this Code.
