A. Creation Of Office. There is hereby created the office of
Building Commissioner of the City of Greendale, Missouri.
B. Appointment. The Building Commissioner of the City of Greendale
shall be appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the Board of
Alderpersons.
C. Term — Compensation. The Building Commissioner of
the City of Greendale shall serve for a term of one (1) year from
the date of his/her appointment or until his/her successor is appointed
and he/she shall receive as compensation for his/her services such
sum or sums as fixed by the Board of Alderpersons.
D. Powers And Duties. The Building Commissioner shall issue
permits, make inspections and do all other acts as required by ordinance.

A. Appointment. The Mayor of the City of Greendale is hereby
authorized to appoint a Building Inspector with the approval of the
Mayor and the Board of Alderpersons.
B. Term — Compensation. The Building Inspector of the
City of Greendale shall serve for a term of one (1) year from the
date of his/her appointment or until a successor is appointed and
qualified and he/she shall receive as compensation for his/her services
such sum or sums as fixed by the Board of Alderpersons.
C. Powers And Duties. The Building Inspector of the City of
Greendale shall have the same powers and duties as the Building Commissioner
of the City of Greendale and shall be subject to his/her supervision;
the Building Inspector shall make periodic inspections on all buildings
during the course of construction to determine whether or not the
provisions of the building ordinances and Building Code of the City
of Greendale and of St. Louis County are being complied with and further
to check the adherence of the actual construction to the plans as
submitted by the owner, builder or contractor and as approved by the
Building Commissioner of the City of Greendale.
