The office of Collector of the City of Higginsville shall be
appointed for an unspecified term by the Mayor with the advice and
consent of the Board of Aldermen as provided in Section 79.050, RSMo.,
and as amended. This appointment shall commence upon expiration of
the term of office of the current Collector and upon approval of this
Section by a majority of voters voting on the issue at a municipal
election held for that purpose.

The salary of the City Collector shall be set by ordinance from
time to time. The City Collector shall receive no compensation, fees
or commissions.

The City Collector shall monthly make a detailed report of all
money collected by him/her during the preceding month the names of
the persons from whom he/she failed to collect and the causes therefor,
and perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the ordinances
of the City.
