A. 
There is hereby established a Senior Citizen Advisory Commission which is a Committee that shall have the composition, powers and duties as prescribed in Chapter 125, Article I in and for the City with the following purposes and objectives:
1. 
To promote senior citizen involvement in governmental affairs.
2. 
To advise the City Council and Mayor on the following areas: education, cultural development, leisure activities, social concerns and any other issues requested by the Council and Mayor.

The Senior Citizen Advisory Commission shall consist of one (1) member from each ward and one (1) member at large.

Meetings shall be held periodically as necessary in accordance with rules established by the Commission.
