A. 
Adoption. A certain document, one (1) copy of which is on file in the office of the Building Official of the City of Knob Noster, being marked and designated as the International Property Maintenance Code, 2003 Edition, as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the Property Maintenance Code of the City of Knob Noster in the State of Missouri for regulating and governing the conditions and maintenance of all property, buildings and structures; by providing the standards for supplied utilities and facilities and other physical things and conditions essential to ensure that structures are safe, sanitary and fit for occupation and use; and the condemnation of buildings and structures unfit for human occupancy and use, and the demolition of such existing structures as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefore; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Property Maintenance Code on file in the office of the City of Knob Noster are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this Section, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in Subsection (B) of this Section.
B. 
Amendments. The following Sections are hereby revised:

Section 302.4 Insert: 8 inches
Section 302.4.1 Insert: Properties greater than one (1) acre in area shall maintain clearance between ignition sources, and weeds, brush or other combustible materials.
Clearance shall be provided with a defensible space of not less than 30 feet (9144 mm) clear of non-fire-resistive vegetation or growth around and adjacent to or along trails, driveways, roadways, highways, structures, or property lines.
* Exception of zoned agricultural properties shall maintain a defensible space of not less than 30 feet (9144 mm) clear of non-fire-resistive vegetation or growth around and adjacent to or along structures and not required to maintain defensible space where cultivated fields are adjacent to or along trails, driveways, roadways, highways, or property lines.
Defensible space and noxious weeds shall be maintained in compliance to Section 302.4
Section 304.14 Insert: April 1st — November 30th
Section 307.1.1 Insert: Any vehicle or trailer used for garbage or rubbish disposal which is not equipped or constructed as to prevent any of the contents from leaking, spilling, falling, or blowing out of such vehicle at any time, except while being loaded.
Section 307.2.3 Insert: All construction and demolition sites shall be free of any accumulation of rubbish or garbage and provide an approved container for proper disposal of rubbish or garbage.
Section 307.2.4 Insert: All stored building materials shall be piled or stacked 12 inches from ground surface.
Section 307.2.5 Insert: No person shall discharge or cause to be discharged into a storm water system any rubbish or any other substance which is capable of causing an obstruction to the flow of the storm system or interfere with the proper operation of the system.
Section 307.2.6 Insert: Any person in physical possession and control of any animal shall remove excreta or other solid waste deposited by the animal in any public or private area not designed to receive such wastes, including but not limited to streets, sidewalks, parking lots, public parks or recreation areas and private property. The provisions of this section shall not apply to an assistance dog which is any dog that has been certified as a guide, signal (or hearing), or service dog and is accompanying any disabled person.

Any firm, association, person, partnership or corporation, or any agent thereof, who violates any provisions of this Article shall be guilty of an ordinance violation, upon the conviction of which shall be fined not less than one hundred dollars ($100.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) or be imprisoned for not more than twenty (20) days, or both. Each day during which such violation shall continue to exist is a separate offense.
