A. 
Any Town policeman of the Town of Lewiston is hereby authorized, pursuant to Article 150 of the Criminal Procedure Law, to issue an appearance ticket to any person who shall, in his presence, commit an offense in violation of any local law or ordinance of the Town of Lewiston.
B. 
Enforcement. The Environmental Enforcement Officer, Zoning Officer, Deputy Zoning Officer, Chairman of the Town of Lewiston Bureau of Fire Prevention and Town of Lewiston Fire Inspector are authorized, pursuant to local laws and ordinances and § 138 of the Town Law and Article 150 of the Criminal Procedure Law, to issue an appearance ticket to any person for the purpose of enforcement of ordinances and local laws enacted by the Town of Lewiston.

The appearance ticket shall be directed to a designated person and shall direct him to appear before a designated Justice of the Peace at a date, time and place therein stated to answer a charge of a designated offense in violation of a particular provision of a local law or ordinance.
At or before the return date specified in said appearance ticket, the Town policeman issuing the same shall file or cause to be filed with the Justice of the Peace an information charging the person named in such appearance ticket with the offense specified therein.
