A.
Management Of Public, Educational And Governmental Channels. The Ste. Genevieve Community Access Cable Board ("Cable Board")
is hereby appointed as the management entity for the public, educational
and governmental channels provided to the City pursuant to Section
67.2703, RSMo., and applicable City Code.
B.
Administration Of Access Channels. The Cable Board shall
administer the public, educational and governmental channels in full
compliance with Section 67.2703, RSMo., and applicable City Code and
according to the Cable Board bylaws which are hereby approved.
C.
Security Of Access Points. The Cable Board shall maintain
the security of the public channel access points and shall submit
annual reports to the City of the public use of said channels as requested
by the City Administrator.
D.
Responsibility For Equipment. Any equipment purchased by
the Cable Board through the use of City funds shall be the property
of the City. The Cable Board shall maintain that equipment and shall
be responsible for returning the property to the City, if requested
by the City, free of damage except for ordinary wear and tear.
E.
Authority Of City Over Board. This appointment may be revoked
at any time, with or without cause, by a subsequent ordinance passed
by the Board of Aldermen of the City. The Board of Directors shall
be appointed by the Mayor as set out in the bylaws of the Cable Board.
No Board member may receive any pay, compensation or monetary gain
from any person arising out of the operation of the Cable Board. The
bylaws of the Cable Board may not be changed without the City's prior
written approval. If the bylaws are changed without such approval,
the Cable Board's authority under this Section shall immediately terminate.
