A. 
That a certain document, one (1) copy of which has been on file in the office of the City Clerk of City of Oronogo for a period of ninety (90) days prior to the adoption of this Section, being marked and designated as the International Mechanical Code, 2018 Edition, including Appendix Chapter A, as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the Mechanical Code of the City of Oronogo, in the State of Missouri, regulating and governing the design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of mechanical systems as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Mechanical Code on file in the office of the City of Oronogo are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this legislation, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in Subsection (B) of this Section.
B.

There shall not be less than one (1) copy of the code as adopted by this Article kept in the office of the City Clerk and said copy shall be marked "Official Copy of Oronogo Mechanical Code".

This Chapter shall not be construed to relieve from responsibility or to lessen the responsibility of any person, firm, or corporation owning, controlling or constructing any mechanical equipment, nor shall the City be held as assuming any liability of any nature by reasons of the inspection authority hereby issued to the City Mechanical Inspector for inspection of safe installation and maintenance of all mechanical equipment.
Any person who shall violate a provision of the Mechanical Code adopted herein or shall fail to comply with any of the requirements thereof or who shall erect, construct, alter or repair a building or structure in violation of an approved plan of or directive of the Code Official, or of a permit or certificate issued under the provision of this code, shall be guilty of an ordinance violation, punishable by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) or by imprisonment not exceeding ninety (90) days, or both such fine and imprisonment. Each day that a violation continues after due notice has been served shall be deemed a separate offense.
