Hereafter, all horses, mules, jacks, jennets, hogs, goats, sheep and cattle of any description shall be prohibited from running at large within the City of Chaffee outside of the enclosure of the owner or keeper thereof. Any and all such animals found running at large within the limits of this City shall be taken up by the City Chief of Police, or by any officer of the City, or by any person designated by the Mayor in writing as a pound master of the City.

A. 
No person owning, possessing, or otherwise having under his/her control or custody any domestic animal or fowl of any kind shall permit the same to run at large in or upon any of the streets or public places or unenclosed lands of the City, or to tie or tether same in such a way that such animal or fowl may go across or upon any of such places.
B. 
Any owner or keeper of a horse, mule, jack, jennet, hog, goat, sheep, cow, or any cattle of any description, who shall permit the same to run at large within the limits of this City, and outside the enclosure of the owner or person having them in charge, shall be guilty of an ordinance violation, and upon conviction shall be fined as set forth in Section 100.220 of this Code.

It shall be unlawful for the owner or keeper of any stock to tie or stake out the same on any unenclosed lot, commons or other place at a place where said stock, while so tied or staked out, may get within ten (10) feet of any sidewalk, walkway, street, alley or any shade or ornamental tree within this City, whether said shade or ornamental tree be enclosed or not.

A. 
It is hereby made the duty of the Chief of Police or any Police Officer, and of every person designated by the Mayor in writing as pound master of the City, to take up all such stock found running at large, and place and keep it in a secure pen or pound until released as hereinafter provided.
B. 
It shall be the duty of the City Council to provide and maintain in a safe and suitable condition an enclosure which shall serve as a City pound for the confinement of any and all domestic animals and fowls of any description whatsoever found at large within the City contrary to the provisions of this Chapter. Such pound shall be securely enclosed and shall be under the control of the proper City Officer.
C. 
Whenever any animals of the kind enumerated above shall be taken up, it shall be the duty of the person impounding the same to post a description thereof at the City Hall in this City. Such notice shall be dated the day it is put up and shall state that the property described therein is held at the City pound, and if not redeemed within ten (10) days from the date of advertisement, will be sold to pay the fees and cost of impounding, advertising, feeding, caring for and selling the same.
The Police judge shall give judgment that the property thus advertised shall be sold to pay said fees and costs. Said sale to take place on the first (1st) Saturday that follows the date of the judgment by the Police judge at the hour of 1:00 P.M., said sale to be held in front of the City Hall in Chaffee, Missouri.
D. 
Impounded animals and fowl may be redeemed by a payment of the four dollar ($4.00) redemption fee, and payment of such boarding fees as may be established by the Mayor.
E. 
Any animal impounded by virtue of this Chapter may be redeemed by the owner at any time before sale by paying the cost of taking up and feeding same.

If any person shall willfully break or otherwise open any pen or pound and let out any animal impounded by virtue of this Chapter, or shall interfere with any person in the discharge of his/her duty under this Chapter by taking out of his/her possession or custody, or by attempting to take any animal out of his/her possession or custody that he/she may have impounded or that he/she may be driving or taking to the pound shall be deemed guilty of an ordinance violation and upon conviction shall be fined as set forth in Section 100.220 of this Code.
