[Ord. No. 1076 §§1 — 7, 1-27-1987; Ord. No. 1345 §1(10000), 11-13-1989]
A.
Because of major roadways within the City residential developments along corridor locations require additional buffering and landscaping. Therefore, smaller lot sizes and a greater range of dwelling unit types are provided in the Suburban Low "SL" and the Suburban Medium "SM" Districts. The higher density development provided for in these two (2) districts is restricted to tracts of land in corridor locations only.
B.
The Suburban Low District is intended to provide low density development in corridor locations only. It provides for a greater range of dwelling unit types and for more flexible types of design in order to permit residential development of a low intensity near major roads.
C.
The Suburban Medium District is intended to provide for moderate density residential development in corridor locations only. Development standards recognize the need to insure adequate buffering and landscaping with the opportunity to select the dwelling unit type most suitable to the constraints of the site.
