When used in this article, the words listed herein shall be defined as follows except where the context clearly indicates otherwise:
FAMILY
Children under 21 and their parent or parents or such persons as in fact are permanently acting as parents for such children.
POOL AREA
All the premises owned by the Borough of Lansdale surrounding public pools operated and owned by the Borough.

The pool area shall be open on such days and at such times as shall be determined from time to time by the Parks and Recreation Director with the authorization of Borough Council. No person shall enter the pool area when it is not open.

Pool area rates and annual membership fees shall be set by resolution of the Borough Council.

The Borough shall not be responsible for any personal property lost or mislaid in the pool area.

The Parks and Recreation Director with the authorization of Borough Council may prescribe rules and regulations governing the conduct of persons within the pool area. Said rules and regulations shall be posted conspicuously within the pool area.

Any person who violates or permits a violation of this article shall, upon conviction in a summary proceeding brought before a Magisterial District Judge under the Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure, be guilty of a summary offense and shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $1,000, plus court costs and reasonable attorneys' fees incurred by the Borough in the enforcement proceedings. Upon judgment against any person by summary conviction, or by proceedings by summons on default of the payment of the fine or penalty imposed and the costs, the defendant may be sentenced and committed to the Borough lockup for a period not exceeding 10 days or to the county jail for a period not exceeding 30 days. Each day or portion thereof that such violation continues or is permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense, and each section of this article that is violated shall also constitute a separate offense.
