The Borough shall not be obliged to test its three-phase meters
more often than once in two years or its single-phase meters more
often than once in five years.
Upon application, the Borough will retest a consumer's meter.
First meter test shall be performed at no charge. Subsequent testing
shall be subject to a retesting fee established and changed from time
to time by resolution of the Lansdale Borough Council. Testing fees
shall be set by resolution and billed on the next customer bill.
If the accuracy of a meter is found to be within 3% accuracy,
the fee will be retained by the Borough. When the error in the meter
is greater than 3%, the meter will be corrected, and if the error
has resulted in greater billings than allowed by the standards, the
consumer's last bill will be adjusted accordingly and the retesting
fee returned.
