[Adopted 12-6-2013 by L.L. No. 5-2013]
It is the intent of this article to adopt the provisions of
the Superstorm Sandy Assessment Relief Act (Chapter 424 of the Laws
of 2013 of the State of New York), so that the Village of Quogue will
be a participating municipality within the meaning of said Act. Incident
to adopting the provisions of said Act, the Board of Trustees of the
Village of Quogue does not specifically elect to provide assessment
relief as provided in Paragraphs (i), (ii), (iii) and (iv) of Subdivision
(a) of Section 4 of said Act, and thus assessment relief as provided
in Paragraphs (i), (ii), (iii) and (iv) of Subdivision (a) of Section
4 of said Act (assessment relief for real property that lost less
than 50% of its improved value due to Superstorm Sandy) will not be
applicable to the Village of Quogue as a participating municipality.
The provisions of the Superstorm Sandy Assessment Relief Act
are hereby adopted.
