A Zoning Commission is hereby created which shall consist of
seven (7) members who shall be appointed by the Chairman and approved
by the Board of Trustees; one (1) member of the Board of Trustees
and the Chairman or the Chairman Pro Tem, making a total of nine (9)
members. The members of the Commission who are members of the Board
of Trustees shall not have voting privileges. The terms of the members
shall be four (4) years each and be staggered so that the terms of
a majority of the Commission shall not expire in any one (1) year.

The Commission shall meet at a regular time and place as established
by rule and shall elect a Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretary from
among the seven (7) citizen members. The term of the Chairman, Vice
Chairman and Secretary shall be for one (1) year with eligibility
for re-election.

The Commission shall be guided by and act under the applicable
laws of the State of Missouri. The Commission shall report on any
and all proposed changes in the zoning ordinance when adopted, shall
review all proposed subdivisions of land and may recommend plans and
physical improvement programs for the Village to the Board of Trustees.

All applications for rezoning must be submitted to the Zoning
Commission for consideration. Each application must be accompanied
by a fee set by the Board of Trustees. Said fee is to cover costs
and publication expenses. Any excess paid by the applicant will be
returned to the applicant and any deficiency is to be paid by the
applicant. The fee shall not be refundable if the applicant does not
go ahead with the zoning request after publication.
