The Municipal Council may designate such place or places within
the City as public taxicab stands as, in its judgment, it may deem
necessary and as may be required for the proper transportation of
passengers.
No taxicab driver shall stand in front of the entrance to any
building within the prohibited space after his passengers, desiring
to leave, have alighted, or attempt to stand in said prohibited space
waiting for passengers.
No driver of a taxicab shall suffer or permit persons to loiter
in or about his taxicab.
No vehicle other than a licensed taxicab shall stop on any public
taxicab stand, except while loading or unloading goods, wares or merchandise
or receiving or discharging passengers.

Every driver of a taxicab, immediately after the termination
of any hiring or employment, shall carefully search such taxicab for
any property lost or left therein. Any such property, unless sooner
claimed or delivered to the owner, shall be reported, in writing,
by the driver or taxicab licensee to the Police Department, with brief
particulars and description of the property, within 24 hours after
the finding thereof.

A. No taxicab driver shall operate a taxicab in the City of Camden unless
said taxicab is being operated in compliance with N.J.S.A. 39:3-76.2a,
requiring the use of child passenger restraint systems and/or rear
seat safety belts, where appropriate, and as directed by statute.
B. Any person guilty of violating this section shall be subject to the
fines and penalties set forth in N.J.S.A. 39:3-76.2d.
