Section 110.010 Conformance of City Election Laws With State Law.

All City elections shall be conducted and held in accordance with the provisions of the Chapter 115, RSMo. All statutory references in this Chapter are to the Revised Statutes of Missouri.

Section 110.020 Definitional Provisions — Election Authority.

A. In accordance with the provisions of Chapter 115 of the Revised Statutes of the State of Missouri, as amended:

1. The City of De Soto is a political subdivision as defined therein;

2. The County Clerk of Jefferson County is the election authority as defined therein.

Section 110.030 Council.

The City Council shall consist of five (5) members; all five (5) members shall be elected at large; the term of each Council member shall be three (3) years. They shall qualify and their terms of office shall begin on the first (1st) regular Council meeting after their election.
