A. An
exemption will be given for property owners with two (2) or more acres
on each parcel for a special hay and agricultural permit. A permit
for this exemption must be secured using a form to be completed prior
to May first (1st) of each year and filed with the City of Fair Grove,
Missouri.
1. Land that has been granted this exemption must be cut for hay (cut,
racked and bailed then removed) once it reaches a maximum height of
twenty-four (24) inches.
2. Land that has been granted this exemption but not put up for hay
as required will be notified by regular mail to comply within ten
(10) days.
3. If after ten (10) days the property is in non-compliance the City
Police Chief shall have the grass cut down and shall certify the time
expended to the City Clerk.
4. The City Clerk will issue a special tax bill to the property owner(s)
based on one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) for the first (1st) hour
or less and fifty dollars ($50.00) for every one-fourth (¼)
hour thereafter.
