The following definitions shall apply in the interpretation
and enforcement of this chapter:
MINIBIKE
A motor vehicle with two, three or four wheels, propelled
by one or more motors. This definition shall include, but not be limited
to, motorized bicycles, motorized scooters, go-carts, gas buggies,
snowmobiles, land cats, land rovers and dune buggies.
MOTORCYCLE
A motor vehicle as defined in N.J.S.A. 39:1-1.
PUBLIC PLACE
Any area, including streets, roadways and pedestrian walkways,
and any public recreation areas, in the Township of Morris.
It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a minibike or
motorcycle in or upon any private property in the Township without
express permission to do so by the owner or occupant of said property.
Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable as provided in §
1-3, General penalty, of this Code. Any vehicle used in violation of this chapter shall be confiscated and removed to the Police Department garage. Said confiscated vehicle may be released to the owner upon the owner's payment of towing and storage costs.
