[Adopted 8-9-1982 by L.L. No. 1-1982]
The Village of Castleton-on-Hudson has a sanitary sewer collection system. This collection system is connected to a sewage treatment plant, is operable and may be used for the collection of sanitary sewage within the Village for the transfer of such sewage to the discharge point. In that property owners within the Village are required to connect to same, and many in the adjoining sewer district find it desirable to connect to this system, the Board of Trustees enacts this article to provide a method and procedure for such construction and connection.

The Board of Trustees of the Village of Castleton-on-Hudson may, by resolution adopted after public hearing, enact rules and regulations relating to the method of connecting to the sanitary sewer collection system, and amend same from time to time. These rules and regulations may provide for the imposition of an inspection or permit fee which shall be paid to the Village, and paid to the general fund of the Village. Such permit fee may be used to defray the cost to the Village in providing inspections or assistance to property owners in making proper connections to the Village's sanitary sewer collection system.
