There is hereby established a position to be known as "Ordinance
Enforcement Officer" for the City of Oakland. The Ordinance Enforcement
Officer shall be appointed by the Mayor with the consent of a majority
of the Board of Aldermen and shall perform such duties as assigned.
The Ordinance Enforcement Officer shall report directly to the Mayor
or the Mayor's designee who shall be the supervising official for
the Ordinance Enforcement Officer. The Ordinance Enforcement Officer
may also refer violations to any government agency with which the
City has a cooperative agreement for enforcement.
