There is created in the City of Pleasantville the Department
of Revenue and Finance, which will include those divisions of the
City government and those functions assigned to the department by
the City Council in accordance with this chapter. It is intended that
the department include the functions of the office of the Chief Financial
Officer and the Tax Collector.
There is created in the City the position of Deputy Tax Collector.
The Chief Financial Officer shall serve as the Deputy Tax Collector
and shall secure such licenses or certification as required within
one year from the adoption of this chapter or within one year of the
appointment to such position by City Council.
Any and all positions, created and provided for in the Department
of Revenue and Finance, which positions are authorized by the statutes
of the State of New Jersey, shall be administered, and the person
appointed shall function within the parameters of such state statutes
which are incorporated herein by reference.
