A. 
Temporary signs of a political nature are permitted in all districts for a period of time upon certification of a political candidate:
1. 
No political sign shall be placed on any public parkway.
2. 
No political sign shall be upon any public property or utility pole.
3. 
No political sign shall remain standing for ten (10) days following such election.
4. 
No political sign shall be placed at any location unless and until the owner or occupant thereof has granted specific permission therefore.
5. 
No political signs aggregating in excess of sixteen (16) square feet in residential zones or one hundred (100) square feet in all other zones shall be upon any lot unless signs as otherwise controlled by this Article aggregating a greater size are permitted as a principal use upon such lot.
6. 
No political sign shall be erected so as to prevent ingress to or egress from any fire escape, window, door or passageway.
7. 
Any signs not on posts into the ground shall be securely anchored by wire or steel cabled.

Any person or corporation promoting a cause, event or candidate whose name or location shall appear upon any temporary sign shall be presumed to be the owner thereof.

A. 
Any person owning or placing political signs upon the property of another who shall violate or fail to comply with requirements of Article XIV hereof shall be guilty of an ordinance violation which shall be a separate offense for each day or part thereof each sign continues. Upon conviction thereof, said person shall pay a fine of one dollar ($1.00) for each day for each sign in violation.
B. 
Any property owner having upon his/her property or permitting, suffering or allowing signs, other than political signs, which shall fail to comply with the requirements of Section 210.2170 shall be guilty of an ordinance violation and liable for a fine of ten dollars ($10.00) per day.
