A. 
Permitted Uses. The following are permitted and accessory uses in the "M-2" Heavy Industrial District:

Ammonia, bleaching powder, or other chemical plants, other than uses listed in District "M-3".

Assaying.

Blast furnaces.

Blooming or rolling mills.
5. 
Brass, bronze, or aluminum foundries.
6. 
Brewing or distilling of liquor.
7. 
Carnivals or circuses.
8. 
Central station light or power plants.
9. 
Chemical laboratories.
10. 
Chicken batteries or brooders.
11. 
Cider mills.
12. 
Coffee roasting.
13. 
Concrete mixing plants (both wet and dry).
14. 
Creameries.
15. 
Cooperage works.
16. 
Cotton ginning or baling.
17. 
Cutting or blending of liquors.
18. 
Drive-in theaters.
19. 
Electric plating.
20. 
Elevator assembly.
21. 
Enameling.
22. 
Feed and flour mills.
23. 
Fish packing.
24. 
Galvanizing.

Grain elevators.

Iron or steel foundries.

Manufacture of: adding machines, airplanes, alcohol, automobiles, basket materials, bicycles, boilers, boxes, brick, bronze powder, cans, carbon batteries, carbon, electric lamps, cash registers, celluloid and similar cellulose products, charcoal, chemicals, other than chemicals included in other classes. Clay, shale or glass products, cottonseed products, cutlery or tools, disinfectants or insecticides, dyes, electrical machinery, enamel, japan, lacquer, paint, turpentine, or varnish. Glass, motor vehicles, nuts, bolts, or screws, oilcloth or linoleum. Plaster, plastics, railway or streetcars, rubber from crude, or scrap materials, shoes, starth, glucose or dextrine, tar, turpentine or other by-products, terra cotta or tile, textile fabrics, tobacco products in addition to those listed previously, tools, typewriters, vinegar.

Storage in bulk of: asphalt, brick, building material, butane (less than tank car lots), cement, clay products, coal, contractors' equipment, cotton, feed, fertilizer, food, fuel, gasoline (less than tank car lots), roofing, grain, gravel, grease, hay, ice, iron, lead, lime, liquor, lumber, machinery, metals, oils, plaster, propane (less than tank car lots), rope, sand, stone, tar, tarred or creasoted products, terra cotta, timber, wine, wood or wool. Also, warehouses for the above.

Storage of: iron, junk, paper and rags, including sorting, collecting or baling the same, provided the entire operation is carried on within a building completely enclosed on all sides or other enclosure approved by the Board of Aldermen.

B. 
Height, Yard And Area Regulations For "M-2" District. In District "M-2", the height of the buildings, the minimum dimensions of lots and yards and the minimum lot area per family permitted on any lot shall be as follows; provided that buildings erected exclusively for dwelling purposes shall comply with the front, side, and rear yard requirements of District "R-4":
1. 
Height. Same as "M-1".
2. 
Front yards. Same as for "M-1".
3. 
Side yards. Same as for "M-1".
4. 
Rear yards. Same as for "M-1".
5. 
Lot area per family. Same as "M-1".
