A.
From and after the effective date of this section, the absolute maximum speed limit in the areas of the Village described below shall be 25 miles per hour, except for streets otherwise posted with different speed limits or which are under the jurisdiction of the State of Illinois or Will County for general highway or road maintenance purposes, which streets are set forth in Subsection B below, and which streets shall retain their presently existing and posted speed limits until such time as such limits are changed by appropriate action of the Village of Homer Glen or such other governmental authority as may have jurisdiction; provided, however, that any territory included within the below-described areas and not included within the order incorporating the Village shall be excluded from and be unaffected by this section.

B.
Streets and roads excluded. The following streets shall be excluded from the scope and application of this section, either by virtue of being under the jurisdiction of or being maintained by the State of Illinois or Will County or Cook County agencies, or by virtue of being streets under the jurisdiction of the Village of Homer Glen, but which are not located within a residential subdivision. The streets and roads listed herein shall retain their presently posted and existing speed limits until such time as the Village or the relevant governmental authority having jurisdiction shall take appropriate action to revise the speed limits on the streets and roads listed in this Subsection B.
