A. 
There shall be a Borough Treasurer who shall be the Borough Administrator. The Borough Treasurer may be a signatory on all Borough bank accounts and the checks thereof and shall perform managerial oversight of the Chief Financial Officer, Tax Collector, and Purchasing Agent and their respective offices and staffs.
B. 
There may be a Deputy Borough Treasurer and any number of Assistant Borough Treasurers, as may be determined by the Mayor and Borough Council, appointed from the ranks of Borough officers and employees, based upon their qualifications, work experience and educational background, particularly in the fields of accounting and finance. The Deputy Treasurer and any Assistant Treasurers shall be appointed by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Borough Council, and shall receive a salary as determined by the annual salary ordinance and resolution. The term of office for the Deputy Treasurer and Assistant Treasurers shall be one year from January 1 to December 30. The filling of any vacancies shall be for the remainder of the unexpired term.
