Article I Vehicle Weight Limits on Bridges

[Adopted 11-4-1986 by Ord. No. 62]

§ 285-1 Vehicle weight limits established on certain bridges. [1]

On the following bridges, by authority granted by § 4902(a) of the Vehicle Code,[2] it shall be unlawful for any person or persons to drive any vehicle or combination having a gross weight in excess of the maximum prescribed for that bridge:

§ 285-2 Violations and penalties.

Any person who violates any provision of this article shall be prosecuted under Sections 4902(a) and 4902(g)(1) of the Vehicle Code[1] and, upon conviction thereof, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of $150 plus $150 for each 500 pounds, or part thereof, in excess of 3,000 pounds over the maximum allowable weight and costs.

§ 285-3 Traffic control devices. [1]

Traffic control devices shall be erected to meet the standards of and at the locations required by the Vehicle Code and Chapter 212 of Title 67 of the Pennsylvania Code dealing with official traffic control devices.

Article II No Parking Areas

§ 285-4 Parking prohibited at all times.

Parking shall be prohibited at all times as follows:

Pa. Route 340	South	Beginning at the Queen Road intersection of Route 340 and Route 772 south and extending westerly a distance of 412 feet
Pa. Route 340	North	Beginning at the intersection of Route 772 north and extending a distance of 264 feet, west only
Pa. Route 340 [Added 7-15-1996 by Ord. No. 110]	North and South	Starting 700 feet west of the intersection of Route 772 West and Route 340 and extending east to a point 700 feet east of the intersection of Route 340 and Hollander Road

§ 285-5 Violations and penalties. [1]

Any person who violates any provision of this article shall be prosecuted under § 3353(d) of the Vehicle Code[2] and, upon conviction thereof, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of $50.
