No person, except a police officer or other law enforcement officer in the performance of an official duty, shall discharge any firearm within the Village. This subsection does not apply and may not be enforced if the actor’s conduct was justified or, had it been subject to a criminal penalty, would have been subject to a defense described in § 939.45, Wis. Stats.
This chapter shall not prevent the maintenance and use of duly supervised rifle or pistol ranges or shooting galleries approved by the Village Board, after an advisory recommendation from the Village Marshal, where proper safety precautions are taken.

A. 
Hunting, except for hunting with a bow and arrow or crossbow as provided in Subsection B hereof, is prohibited within the corporate limits of the Village of Belgium.
B. 
A person may hunt with a bow and arrow or crossbow within the Village, subject to the following restrictions:
(1) 
No such hunting is permitted on publicly owned land.
(2) 
No such hunting is permitted within 100 yards of any building used for human occupancy located on another person’s land unless the person who owns the land on which the building is located allows the hunter to hunt within 100 yards of the building.
(3) 
No such hunting is permitted unless the arrow or bolt is discharged toward the ground.
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
FIREARM
Any instrument from or with which a shot, bullet or pellet may be discharged or expelled, regardless of whether the propelling force is provided by air, spring or other similar mechanical device, or gunpowder.
