[HISTORY: Adopted by the Borough Council of the Borough of Burgettstown 12-2-2002 by Ord. No. 2002-2. Amendments noted where applicable.]
A certain document, three copies of which are on file in the office of the Secretary-Treasurer of the Borough of Burgettstown, being marked and designated as the "International Property Maintenance Code," as published by the International Code Council, Inc., be and is hereby adopted as the Property Maintenance Code of the Borough of Burgettstown, Washington County, in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, for the control of buildings and structures as herein provided, and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Property Maintenance Code are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this chapter, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in § 385-2 of this chapter.
The following sections are hereby revised:
Section 101.1: insert "the Borough of Burgettstown."
Section 103.5: insert "Shall be established by resolution by the Borough Council."
Section 112.4: insert "$200" and "$1,000."
Section 302.4: insert "10 inches."
Section 304.14: insert "March 30" and "October 30."
Section 602.3: insert "September 1" and "May 30."
Section 602.4: insert "September 1" and "May 30."
Any and all previously enacted ordinances and/or amendments thereto that conflict with this chapter are hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict.
Nothing in this chapter or in the Property Maintenance Code hereby adopted shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding impending in any court, or any rights acquired, or liability incurred, or any cause or causes of action acquired or existing, under any act or ordinance hereby repealed, nor shall any just or legal right or remedy of any character be lost, impaired or affected by this chapter.
The Borough Secretary-Treasurer and/or Solicitor shall certify to the adoption of this chapter and cause the same to be published as required by law, and this chapter shall take effect and be in force from and after its approval as required by law.
