GENERAL REFERENCES

Noise — See Ch. 210.
The following shall apply to all parks and land owned by the Town of North Castle.
A. 
No person shall injure, deface or disturb any part of the park, building, sign or equipment therein or remove, injure or destroy any tree, flower, shrub, rock or other mineral found therein.
B. 
No person shall set a fire or assist another to set a fire anywhere on parkland, except in designated areas.
C. 
No person shall throw, cast, lay, drop, discharge, deposit, bring or leave in any part of the park any garbage, sewage, refuse, waste or other obnoxious material otherwise than in receptacles or pits provided for such purposes.
D. 
No person shall conduct himself in such manner as to:
(1) 
Endanger the life, limb or property of the other visitors to the park.
(2) 
Be suggestive of immoral acts.
(3) 
Be offensive or injurious to the morals of any person frequenting the park.
E. 
No person shall introduce or carry any firecrackers or fireworks or throw, cast, kick or strike any baseball, golf ball, football, basketball or other object, except in places designated thereof.
F. 
No person shall loiter or remain within the park or any part thereof in a vehicle or otherwise after the posted closing hours at such park, without general or special permission.
G. 
No person shall use firearms or bows and arrows or any other weapons. No trapping shall be permitted.
H. 
No engine-powered devices shall be permitted onto park lands, except maintenance, police and emergency vehicles. However, properly licensed vehicles may be operated on roads and parking areas specifically designated by the Parks and Recreation Department.
I. 
No swimming shall be permitted, except in areas designated for such purpose by the Recreation Department.
J. 
The speed limit shall be 10 miles per hour.
K. 
No alcohol consumption shall be permitted unless by permit. The alcohol permit application must be submitted to the Superintendent of Recreation and Parks and is subject to Town Board approval and applicable fees as set forth in the Master Fee Schedule.[1]

L. 
No amplification or excessive noise shall be permitted as per Chapter 210, Noise, of the Code of the Town of North Castle.
M. 
There shall be no use of illegal substances.
N. 
There shall be no camping, except by permit only.
Parks shall be open to the public one hour after sunrise to one hour after sunset, unless otherwise specified.

Any person committing an offense against any provision of this chapter shall be guilty of a violation punishable by a fine not exceeding $1,000 per day per violation or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. The continuation of an offense against the provisions of this chapter shall constitute, for each day the offense is continued, a separate and distinct offense hereunder.
