City of East Orange, NJ Article II Police Department Surgeon

[Adopted 3-24-1975 by Ord. No. 22-1975 (Ch. 5, Art. XII, of the 1980 City Code)]

§ 55-8 Office established.

There are hereby established the offices of Police Department Surgeon and Assistant Police Department Surgeon.

§ 55-9 Duties.

The Police Department Surgeon and the Assistant Police Department Surgeon shall perform such duties as the Board of Police Commissioners[1] shall prescribe and such duties as may be required by law.

§ 55-10 Compensation.

Compensation for the Police Department Surgeon shall be established by the City Council according to law.

§ 55-11 Assistant: service without compensation.

The Assistant Police Department Surgeon shall serve without compensation, payment of fees or other emoluments.
