The following days are hereby declared and established public holidays: The first (1st) day of January (designated New Years Day), the third (3rd) Monday of January (designated Martin Luther King, Jr. Day), the third (3rd) Monday of February (designated Presidents' Day), the last Monday of May (designated Memorial Day), the nineteenth (19th) day of June (designated Juneteenth Day), the fourth (4th) day of July (designated Independence Day), the first (1st) Monday of September (designated Labor Day), the second (2nd) Monday in October (designated Columbus Day), the eleventh (11th) day of November (designated Veterans' Day), any Thanksgiving Day appointed by the President of the United States or by the Governor of this State (designated Thanksgiving Day), and the day following Thanksgiving Day, and the twenty-fifth (25th) day of December (designated Christmas Day).
