The Recreation Board is hereby established by the Board of Supervisors
of the Township of Jefferson.

The Recreation Board's powers and duties shall relate to
the management, maintenance, improvement, creation and reservation
of all of the Township's recreational areas, including but not
limited to Laura J. Doerr Park. The Recreation Board shall oversee
the planning and development of Laura J. Doerr Park for baseball,
softball, soccer, volleyball, swimming, picnicking, hiking, pleasure
driving, nature study, water sports and viewing or enjoying historical,
archaeological, scenic or scientific sites.

The Recreation Board shall consist of seven members selected
by the Board of Supervisors for a term of three years or until his
successor is appointed and qualified. The scheduled terms shall be
staggered so that the term of no more than three members shall end
any calendar year. The membership shall include one member each from
the Southeast Butler County Pool Association, Inc., Saxonburg Area
Baseball Association, Knoch Area Soccer Association and Saxonburg
Area Girls Softball Association. The remaining three members shall
be appointed from residents of the Township.

The Recreation Board shall designate a Chairperson, who shall
be a member of the Board, and a Secretary. The Board shall adopt its
own rules regarding its meetings and procedures.
