1.
The Building Code Board of Appeals for Jefferson Township shall consist
of three members and one alternate and shall be appointed annually.
2.
All members shall serve at the pleasure of the Board of Supervisors.
3.
Members shall not hold office as a Township Supervisor or Building
Code Official or Administrator in the Township of Jefferson.
4.
Members may reside outside of Jefferson Township when the Board of
Supervisors cannot find a person within the Township who is deemed
qualified as defined by the UCC Act [Section 403.121(c)(1)].

Members may not cast a vote or participate in a hearing on any
appeal, request for a variance, or request for an extension of time
in which the member has a personal, professional, or financial interest.

The Building Code Board of Appeals shall schedule meetings and
provide notice of meetings in accordance with the Pennsylvania Sunshine
Act.

The Building Code Board of Appeals may not act upon appeals,
requests for variance, or requests for extension of time relating
to accessibility under the UCC.
