Editor's Note — By Ordinance No. 1-71, adopted January 26, 1971, the City elected to have all eligible employees, except policemen and firemen, covered by the Missouri Local Government Employees Retirement System (LAGERS), as provided by Sections 70.600 et seq., RSMo. Ordinance No. 7-71, effective July 1, 1971, adopts a revised pension plan for members of the Fire and Police Departments. Ordinance No. 22-74, effective November 26, 1974, authorized the City to enter into a plan of deferred compensation for its employees and approved the purchase of retirement annuity contracts as issued by Aetna Variable Annuity life Insurance Company. These ordinances are on file in the office of the City Clerk.
