There is hereby established a Fire Department in the City. Such department shall be composed of one (1) Chief and such other employees with titles as shall be set forth in the Personnel Code, Chapter 120 and Section 105.270.

The Fire Chief and Fire Department shall be under the supervision and control of the City Administrator and shall be responsible to the Administrator for enforcement of the Fire Prevention Code, fighting of fires and performance of such other duties prescribed for the Fire Department by this Code and all other ordinances of the City.

The City Administrator may appoint such Volunteer Firefighters as he/she shall deem necessary. All such Volunteer Firefighters shall serve without pay and shall perform such duties as shall be prescribed by the Fire Chief.

A. 
The City may from time to time contract with such municipal Fire Departments or fire protection districts to extend fire protection services, including an interchange of service, as may be approved by ordinance duly enacted by the Board of Aldermen.
B. 
All ordinances of the City providing for fire protection services to the City of Warson Woods or for mutual fire protection assistance to other municipalities or fire protection districts are hereby saved from repeal and continued in full force and effect.
