This Department shall be under the direction of the Parks and Recreation Director and shall be responsible for the operations and planning of recreation and leisure activities.

Responsibilities:
A.
Foster, coordinate and/or provide technical assistance to volunteers and cooperating agencies in providing recreation.
B.
Study and make recommendations for the planning of services and facilities.
C.
Collection of fees and issuance of permits for recreation facilities and problems.
D.
Coordinate the maintenance of Township-owned and -operated recreational facilities and equipment.
E.
Coordinate Township use of school district facilities.
F.
Coordinate purchasing of equipment for all recreational needs.
G.
Publicity for recreation programs.
H.
Prepare and maintain all necessary reports, financial and organizational, necessary to the functions and operation of the recreation function.
