A. No person shall use or discharge firearms of any kind, air rifles,
spring guns, slings or any other form of weapon potentially inimical
to wildlife and dangerous to human safety within the limits of the
City or upon any property owned by the City. This section does not
apply to the use of bow and arrows within the City limits during the
state archery hunting season by licensed hunters or bow and arrow
target practice on property in conformance with the one-hundred-fifty-yard
safety zone and hunting regulations set by the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
B. Persons lawfully engaged in hunting under the Pennsylvania Game Code
and City ordinances, if hunting on the property of another person,
must have the written permission of the owner in his possession, and
follow all safety zone and hunting regulations set by the Pennsylvania
Game Commission.

This chapter shall not apply to the use of the within mentioned
weapons at indoor or outdoor ranges approved by the Chief of Police
or to licensed hunters carrying such weapons upon leaving or returning
to the City from lawful hunting beyond the City limits. This chapter
shall not apply to on-duty law enforcement officers acting in their
official capacity.
The police officers shall have the right to seize, take, possess,
or remove any weapons herein mentioned involved in a violation of
the provisions of this chapter as evidence.
Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision
of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay
a fine of not more than $1,000 plus costs and, in default of payment
of said fine and costs, to a term of imprisonment not to exceed 30
days.
