A. 
Members of the Cottleville Parks and Recreation Board shall serve for a term of five (5) years or until their successors are appointed and qualified, except that members first (1st) appointed shall be appointed for such terms that the terms of not more than two (2) of the members shall expire annually thereafter.
B. 
The Mayor may, by and with the consent of the Board of Aldermen, remove any member of the Parks and Recreation Board at will.
C. 
Vacancies occasioned by removal, disqualification, resignation or otherwise shall be reported to the Board by the Mayor and shall be filled in like manner as original appointments, except that the term of office is restricted to the unexpired term of office. No member of the Board shall receive compensation as such.
D. 
A designated member of the Board of Aldermen shall serve as an ex officio member of the Board and shall attend Park and Recreation Board meetings to act as a non-voting liaison.

Within fifteen (15) days after their appointment they shall meet and organize by selecting one (1) of their members as President and by the election of such other officers as they may deem necessary. Subject to the approval of the Board of Aldermen, they shall adopt and promulgate the rules and regulations for the conduct, administration and management of the public recreational program.

A. 
The Parks and Recreation Board shall:
1. 
Study and make plans and recommendations for the development and maintenance of facilities and activities for a progressive parks and recreation system.
2. 
All monies received for such parks shall be deposited by the City Treasurer in the Treasury of the City of Cottleville, Missouri, to the credit of the Park Fund and shall be kept separate and apart from all other funds of the City of Cottleville, Missouri, and be drawn upon by the proper officers of the City of Cottleville, Missouri.
