The stated meetings of this Board shall be held on the first
Monday of each month at 9:00 p.m., unless otherwise designated by
the President one week in advance. The annual meeting shall be held
on the first Monday of December at 9:00 p.m. of each and every year.
Three members present shall constitute a quorum.
The duties of the officers and the members of the Board shall
be those set forth in the Borough Code.
The salary of the Secretary and the Health Officer shall be
such as may be from time to time fixed by the Board and ratified by
Borough Council, and the said Secretary and Health Officer shall serve
for a period of one year or until such time thereafter as their successors
may be elected and qualified.
The Secretary and Health Officer shall severally give bond to
the Borough, in such sum as may be fixed by ordinance, for the faithful
discharge of their duties, and shall also take and subscribe to the
oath required of members of the Board.
Amendments, additions or deletions may be made upon motion adopted
by a majority vote of the Board at two regular meetings.

It shall be the duty of the Board's designated Health Officer
to attend all stated and special meetings of the Board of Health and
at all times to be ready and available for the prompt performance
of his official duties. He shall placard and quarantine all premises
in which cases of communicable disease exist, which have been reported
to the Board of Health or of which he or the Board of Health may have
knowledge, which are required by law or by regulation of the State
Department of Health or of the local Board of Health to be placarded
and quarantined, and shall see that such premises are disinfected
upon the expiration of the quarantine period and the recovery of the
last person therein suffering from such disease. He shall serve written
notice on teachers and persons in charge of public, parochial, Sunday
and other schools, requiring the exclusion from school of children
who are suffering from communicable diseases or who reside in the
same premises with other persons who are suffering from communicable
diseases, and shall make sanitary inspections and shall execute the
orders of the Board of Health, and shall, in the performance of his
duties, have the power and authority of a policeman.
