[HISTORY: Adopted by the Council of the Borough of Sharon Hill 12-28-1972 by Ord. No. 1019 (Ch. 94 of the 1972 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
All religious institutions shall be exempted from the payment of the permit fee when erecting, constructing, reconstructing or in any manner removing, altering or adding to any building used for an express purpose connected with religious training or reverence.
All religious institutions are hereby exempted from the payment of any fees required under the provisions of the Plumbing Ordinance of the Borough of Sharon Hill[1] or any Plumbing Inspector's charges when the plumbing work to be performed is directly related to a purpose connected with religious training or reverence.

The Borough Superintendent or such other person as the Borough Council may designate shall decide whether or not any building or plumbing project qualifies for the exemptions authorized by the provisions of this chapter. Any applicant refused such an exemption may appeal such refusal to the Borough Council. The decision of the Borough Council regarding such application for exemption shall be final.
