A.
Any
applicant for an initial business license or the renewal of the same
for an initial merchant's license or the renewal of the same shall
accompany said application for said license or said renewal by evidence
of a State of Missouri sales and/or use tax authority for the collection
of and payment to the State of sales and/or use taxes whenever applicable
to the business of said applicant as provided in Chapter 144, RSMo.

A.
Any
applicant for an initial business license or the renewal of the same
or for an initial merchant's license or the renewal of the same shall
accompany said application for said license or said renewal by a certification
of insurance for Workers' Compensation coverage as required and applicable
to the business of said applicant as provided in Chapter 287, RSMo.

A.
No
merchant's license or manufacturer's license provided for or required
pursuant to any ordinance of the City shall be issued to any person,
firm, partnership or corporation until any and all merchant's license
taxes or manufacturer's license taxes of the applicant therefore,
payable during the preceding calendar year, shall have been paid.
B.
It
shall be the duty of the City Clerk, City Collector or other office
of the City having authority to issue any merchant's license or manufacturer's
license before issuing any of said licenses to check the payment by
the applicant for the license of the merchant's license taxes and
manufacturer's taxes for the preceding year before issuing any of
the aforesaid licenses.
