All contractors and trades doing business within the City Limits of Hollister shall be licensed.

Any contractor or trade doing business in the City limits and actively engaged in the business of City water and sewer line hookups shall file with the City Clerk one (1) of the following forms of a bond; said bond will be released after City inspection.
1. 
Contractor's license bond: $500.00.
2. 
Performance bond (on each job): $500.00.
3. 
Cash, money order, or cashier's check: $500.00.

No contractor or trade doing business in the City limits and actively engaged in any of the above mentioned business or trades shall permit any unsafe conditions to be left without suitable warning lights or signs or barriers.

A. 
No such person shall violate or fail in any way to comply with the mandatory provisions of Section 605.170 of this Article. Upon conviction of any such violation of Section 605.170, the person so violating shall be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) or a jail sentence of not more than ninety (90) days, or by both fine and jail sentence.
B. 
Such violation shall be deemed a public nuisance and may be abated by action for civil damages or injunction or both such remedies.
