There is hereby levied, fixed and ordered collected a gross receipts franchise fee of five percent (5%) on every person, persons, firm, association, organization, partnership or corporation engaged in the business of supplying Cable Television /Video Service Provider service to the inhabitants of the City of Hollister, Missouri.

Said gross receipts fee shall be levied at the rate of five percent (5%) of the gross receipts collected for local service rates on all Cable Television/Video Service Provider hook-ups or installations, other than hookups or installations for City, County, State and Federal Government agencies, churches and other Fee-exempt organizations, installed within the City limits of the City of Hollister, Missouri, by said person, persons, firm, association, organization, partnership or corporation.

Within thirty (30) days after the end of each quarter (January, April, July, October) of each year any person, firm, association, organization, partnership or corporation, providing Cable Television/ Video Service Provider service within the City of Hollister, Missouri, shall make and file with the City Clerk a statement showing the amount of gross receipts collected during the preceding three (3) months from local service rates from the Cable Television / Video Service Provider service installed within the City limits of the City of Hollister, Missouri. Such statement shall be verified by affidavit. Such statement shall be accompanied by payment of the gross receipts fee due. All persons subject to this Article shall, at reasonable times, permit the City Clerk or his/her duly authorized agent to make an inspection and audit of the records and books of said person for the purpose of determining the correctness of the affidavit filed by said person as provided for in this Article. The information and data obtained from such inspection and audit shall not be disclosed by said City Clerk or his/her authorized agent, provided however, that this shall not prohibit the City Clerk or his/her duly authorized agent from giving evidence in court in any proceeding brought to collect any license fee provided for in this Article or to punish any person for the making of a false or fraudulent affidavit provided for herein.

Any person, persons, firm, association, organization, partnership or corporation, who willfully violates any of the provisions of this Article, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.

There is hereby levied, fixed and ordered collected a gross receipts franchise fee of 3.836% (rounded to 4%) on every person, persons, firm, association, organization, partnership or corporation engaged in the business of supplying electric service to the inhabitants of the City of Hollister, Missouri.
