There is hereby created the Mulvane Volunteer Emergency Medical Service.

A. 
Rates and charges for the use of the City's ambulance service and the application thereof shall be established and determined by the Director of Public Safety. Such rates and charges, as in effect from time to time, shall be posted and made publicly available. Such rate schedules may include a discount for Mulvane Emergency Services Volunteers, their spouses, children and stepchildren for any amount not covered by such individual's medical insurance.
B. 
All revenue collected from any mileage-based charges may be placed in a special revenue fund designated for vehicle and equipment replacement. All other revenue shall be placed in a revenue fund to offset the cost of operating the City's ambulance service.
