A. No person
shall park or allow to remain parked any vehicle on any portion of
the following named streets at any time that there is an accumulation
of snow or ice for a period beginning with said accumulation and ending
twenty-four (24) hours after the snow or ice has stopped falling:

B. Members
of the Police Department are hereby authorized to remove or have removed
any such vehicle to a public garage, service station, and other street,
or any other convenient location, subject to the following condition:
1. A sign
shall be posted notifying the public that a street or portion thereof
is a snow route.
2. Whenever
a vehicle has been removed as hereby authorized, the officer shall
attempt to ascertain the identity of owner or the person in charge
of the vehicle from information available on or in the vehicle, secured
by a check of the license registration or other information coming
to his attention, and the officer shall give notice as soon as possible
to the owner or person in charge of the vehicle of its removal and
whereabouts of the vehicle.
3. No person
shall recover said vehicle removed pursuant to this Schedule except
that he shall present evidence to his identity and ownership of the
vehicle, he shall pay the cost of its release, removal and storage,
if any, and he shall sign a receipt for its return.
4. The
Police Department shall keep a record of each vehicle removed and
detailed efforts as to what methods were utilized to notify the owner
or person in control of the vehicle of its removal and whereabouts.
C. Any person,
firm or corporation upon violation of any of the provisions of this
Schedule shall, upon conviction, thereof, be subject to the penalty
of no less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) and no more than fifty
dollars ($50.00).
