A.
It shall be unlawful for any person operating a motor vehicle upon
the streets, alleys or highways of the City (or State Highway 72)
to operate or drive such vehicle at a rate of speed exceeding thirty
(30) miles per hour; provided that if the speed limit upon any street,
alley or highway within the City is less than thirty (30) miles per
hour and speed signs are posted upon or along any such street, alley
or highway specifying the speed limit on such street, alley or highway,
such person shall operate such vehicle at a rate of speed not exceeding
the speed limit so posted; provided further that the following speed
limits shall apply in the described areas of the City:

B.
It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a motor vehicle within
the corporate limits of the City at a rate of speed in excess of the
limits hereinabove set forth.
